It’s taken me days, but I’ve finally completed my installation of Movable Type and all the plugins etc. that I wanted to. A lot of you were asking why I decided to move from Greymatter to MT. Basically, it’s because of the extra cool things you can do. Like now, for example, if you comment you will get automatically plugged on the next entry, without me having to do it manually. You can still use smilies in comments, and I can use them in entries. The top 5 commenters are permanently plugged at the bottom of the page. How many times you have commented on my blog is recorded, and the entry count at the bottom of each blog displays how many words are in each blog. There are also 1001 features that I’m not using/haven’t installed!
The downside is, of course, that it takes forever to install, you need MySQL, cgi, php etc. and there are no good tutorials for the plugins etc. on the Net, so it will take you forever (like me) to figure everything out.
I’m really happy and excited though, yay! Lol. I think it looks a lot purdier than my old GM blog too.
Ok, on to updates!
Plug your site on the plug board.
New tutorial on how to create a plugboard for your own site here. More updates soon, I’m working on a bouncy blinkie tutorial and a Unique ID Maker! I didn’t get a chance to do that many updates because I’ve been installing MT
