Airbrushing is useful if you have a bad quality image that you want to use, or you want to erase some detail in an image (such as wrinkles or smudges).

Look at how bad this image is:

Step 1

Open up your image in PSP.

Step 2

Click Retouch, and if the Tool Options don’t show up in a small box, then right click the hand tool and click ‘Tool Options’.

Step 3

Change your settings to these, if you’re using a big image you might need to try a higher opacity:

Step 4

Now use your mouse to go carefully over the image. Zooming in might help. If it goes too blurry, then go to Edit > Undo, and try again.
