Despite the fact that it’s pissing it down outside, I’m very happy. On Wednesday we went shopping, and I spent a lot, but bought some holiday essentials – more swimwear, flip flops and a great new bag. I also sorted out a couple of Internet things, my dentist appointment has now been changed, and I’ve told work I’m going on holiday next week. All that remains to be done is to pick up some more clothes from Nottingham (and tidy the house/sort out my stuff as much as possible), renew a domain and finish the updates I’m working on for the site. Oh, and charge my camera and toothbrush before we go, as well as pack.

Making Friday 13th even better is the fact that I bought Mario Party 8 (it was finally released here in the UK after changing the release date from March to June to September to July 13th). It’s great, I really missed playing Mario Party and it was a good deal at £34.99. Almost worth waiting for ;)

So today (so far) has been really good. Having stuff to do and stuff to look forward to definitely lifts my mood a LOT. My parents are a bit irritated at how much I’ve spent recently, but other than spending money on the cruise (which will probably turn out to be quite a lot, ahem), I can’t see myself spending much, if anything, for a while. Except maybe on books, but that’s work’s fault.

Yesterday a new girl called Sindy started work. She’s around 17-18 and Chinese, and she was really nice. We spent most of the time chatting to Jason (the manager) and having a laugh. Jason also trusted me (second time, and I’ve not been working there that long, less than a month) to take the shop’s takings to the bank. There were a load of people asking for particular books and particular subjects, which hasn’t really happened before, but I did my best. I also got taken by surprise when a guy I haven’t seen since high school (4-5 years ago now) came in and recgonised me – took a second to place him, but it was a nice surprise, not an unpleasant one. So time generally went pretty quickly at work yesterday.

Ok, so time to play some more Mario Party and work on updates methinks!
