Disappearing Act

So tomorrow I have my surgery, and I’m scared now. It’s costing over £4,000, which is really expensive because I went for the most expensive clinic and the most expensive treatment, but I’m paying it in interest-free installments of £237 over the next year and a half. The surgery is not only going to be catered towards my prescription (-3), but it will take into account every miniscule bump and hole of my eyes to get the best results. Hopefully I’ll end up with perfect vision and not just driving standard vision, because it will annoy me if I put on my glasses afterwards and have better vision! I also have a lifetime care guarantee, so as long as I have an eye test every two years (which is free with the company I work for, yay), they will correct anything if needed.

I have to wear contacts for the first five days and have eye drops every two hours. I have a couple of appointments, the day after and a week after, and I have to have eye drops 4 times a day for a month. Apparently my eyes will feel quite gritty after the surgery and I have to take a pair of sunglasses. They also recommended I buy herbal sleeping tablets (I can’t take anything else as the eye drops have steroids in them or something). I’m really, really not looking forward to the actual surgery or the eye drops. I also won’t be online for probably around a week whilst my eyes heal.

So keep your fingers crossed for me, and hopefully I’ll be back blogging around the 28th April :)

Side note: I just looked briefly at Blossom on my work MacBook Pro, and it actually looks better than on a PC. It’s so tempting to buy a Mac…

Hey Jenni, It’s been a long time since I’ve stopped by your site. I am so happy to see that it’s still up and active after all these years!

Anyway, onto the actual post, I hope you do well on the surgery, but seeing as how you’re going for the best of the best, I am sure you’ll do better than okay :)

Have fun with better eye sight!

I hope that your eye surgery went well. I’m hoping to be able to laser eye surgery soon as well. Glasses are cute and all but they can be a real pain sometimes. :D
