Friday 5: Out of Place

(I know it’s technically Saturday, but what the hell. I’m living on the edge).

What non-food items are in your refrigerator or freezer?

I think pretty much everything in there is food apart from ice cube trays. I often have a Lush fresh face mask in there – Catastrophe Cosmetic is my favourite – but I don’t at the moment. (As a side note, I’ve tried eating Catastrophe Cosmetic. I wouldn’t recommend it).

Occasionally we also have cat milk in there, but I guess that’s technically food/drink. I used to live with someone who kept dead crickets in the freezer, which was kind of nasty…

What non-book items are on your bookshelves?

So. Many. Things. Here are a few: DVDs, PC game cases, deodorant, dry shampoo, de-frizzer, a ton of make up, jewellery, two ‘grow a plant in a can’ things, a game of Munchkin Zombies, dice, candles, a spotty teapot (which makes me sound more British than I am), candle holders, a resistance band.

I use my shelves the way most people use their dressing table. My dressing table is a desk and it’s currently covered with a mixture of computer peripherals, clothes and paperwork I haven’t filed yet.

What song or album in your music collection doesn’t fit in with your usual tastes?

Actually I’ll have to be all pretentious here and say Fur Elise (Beethoven), or miscellaneous Pavarotti. My dad asked me to download a load of music for him recently and it’s relaxing listening to them now and then.

What item in your wardrobe really doesn’t match anything else?

This is probably the toughest question for me. Actually, I do have a gorgeously soft blue shrug (short cardigan type thing) that I bought in Poland about five years ago. I bought it in blue because I wanted a change from black, but honestly it’s the weirdest shade of blue ever and clashes with literally everything I own. I think the only colour it would work with is white, and I don’t own anything plain white. I don’t think I’ve ever actually worn it, so I should probably buy something to go with it.

What scar on your body did you receive in the unlikeliest of ways?

I pretty much only have one scar I think, and that’s a small one on my chin from chicken pox  What an anti-climax…I haven’t ever really injured myself (touch wood), I’m too much of a scaredy cat.

Questions from Friday 5.

Haha, I know what you mean about your bookshelf. I do the same thing, I put stuff on places that people don’t normally use it for that. LOL.
