A little list of what I’ve been enjoying this month…

Severance (Apple TV) – The second season has just been released so I’m rewatching the first. It’s definitely the kind of show that benefits from a second watch because there’s a lot going on despite it seeming/feeling slow paced for a thriller. It’s one of my favourite series of all time, and one of the few US ones that makes my top ten (given my taste leans more toward S Korean and S American dystopia/utopia and Scandi thrillers).
 

Capybara Go – A little traditional style Japanese RPG story-based app game (no idea where the “Go” comes from as it’s nothing like the other Go games). It’s super cute and who doesn’t want to be a capybara travelling the world gaining XP and gems??
 

The stock market – My new year’s resolution this year was to actually learn the stock market properly (well, as properly as you can without buying the ridiculously expensive professional financial tools) and honestly it’s so much fun. (A dangerous amount of fun for someone like me with process addict tendencies, but anyway). Also, what a time to be getting into the stock market, it’s wild.
 

Plants – You know how people say, don’t turn something you love as a hobby into something that makes money because you’ll hate it? I’m the opposite, I often only love something when I can turn it into something I can make money from. So I was never interested in plants until I discovered that they were extremely important to podcast and photo studio customers, and now I’ve figured out how to keep them alive and monetise them, I’m appreciating them a lot more.
 

Junk journalling – This year I’m doing a visual paper-based journal – just a really simple way to record the highlights and themes from each month. January’s theme is basically home-based – based around cosiness, books, and a lot of house improvement stuff. (Side note – I saved a lot of money skipping the £2k wood panelling behind fitted wardrobes and just bought an £11 roll of wood panel looking wallpaper from Dunelm).
 

Other people’s Createry tours – When it comes to selling, I love nothing more than delegating everything but the close – that’s how both businesses are set up to operate. But what I didn’t predict was how many customers would be keen to show other people around The Createry. I love seeing people showing their friends, colleagues, even parents around the studios and spaces. It makes me so happy to see their passion and enthusiasm for everything.
