Despite the on/off ice and snow, December has passed in a flurry of tranquility for me. I’m now 24, and a very happy 24 it is. Looking back at 2010, it’s been an extremely successful year, with highlights including:
* Joe moving in with me, and various friends starting happy relationships.
* Pepper, my parents’ poodle, coming into the family.
* One of my friends now working at the company I work for.
* A trip to Italy, my favourite country, and visits to new countries (Greece and Croatia).
* A fantastic new job that I still love, where I enjoy what I do and appreciate the people I work with.
* Adoption of my three lovely cats, Sin, Halo and Chief.
* Quality family and friends time.
* Lots of shopping and nice purchases and ‘wins’, including my new netbook, free jewellery, a £50 Amazon voucher and a mystery Christmas stocking of gifts.
* Learning and commercial experience of a LOT of new web things. I love learning.
* A new domain (but it’s not finished yet, so that’s all you need to know for now).
* Eyesight – whilst it was horrendously painful at the time, laser eye surgery is a miracle and life without glasses is amazing.
* Pay rises/increases mean that I’m earning 25% more than in January 2010, plus I’ve just received a lovely Christmas bonus.
* A couple of extra weeks’ holiday and three weeks’ extra pay from switching jobs.
I’ve got a lot to be thankful for, and I’m really looking forward to Christmas. Unfortunately I don’t finish until Christmas Eve (eek!), but I’ve bought some great Christmas presents this year and I’m really looking forward to giving them :) New Year plans remain a mystery; I’ve changed my mind several times, and I may have a small gathering at home or we might go to London. New Year is traditionally the time of year I hate the most; I’m constantly clock-watching and the weather seems more depressing after my birthday and Christmas are over. But hopefully this one will be a good one.
I was going to go over my new year’s resolutions from last year, but I’ve happily failed at most of them (!) On the list for 2011 are the two old learning to drive and getting fit resolutions. I’d also like to be in a position of having Blossom.nu up to date, reincarnating Star-Girl.org as a review site, and getting my portfolio site finished.
So merry Christmas (or happy holidays if you prefer!) & I’ll see you around soon!

Wow, I can’t believe all of the things you’ve listed happened in 2010! It’s actually mind-blowing that it all happened in 1 year! Same thing with me though, I’ve had A LOT happened to me this year too, and I can’t believe they all happened this year, it just felt so long ago!
I hope you’ll have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year! I hope you’ll be able to decide on what to do for New Year’s Eve soon! =)
