Angry Birds – I’ve downloaded it, played it, and it held my interest for about twenty minutes or so in total. I’ve played a lot of similar, repetitive, point and tap games on my phone which are reasonably good, like Slice It, Bubble Buster, Bistro Cook and Jewels, and I prefer all of them to Angry Birds. The graphics are cute and the game is well put together, but for some reason it just doesn’t grab my attention and I get bored very quickly. I don’t find it addictive like a lot other games, which is quite weird.
Justin Bieber – I don’t think I need to explain this one, because I know I’m not alone here. I really don’t understand what makes him so fascinating…he’s a good dancer, and I have to admire him for the way he’s come from nowhere and become successful, but at times it does feel like he’s brainwashed all girls under the age of 20.
Pizza or steak – This is probably more of a local thing, but I’m finding it really difficult to find a restaurant that sells both pizza and decent steak (i.e. not rib eye or stewing steak) for me and Joe. I love pizza and don’t like steak, and he’s the opposite. There’s Frankie and Benny’s I guess, but I don’t particularly like their pizza. I just wish Zizzi or Strada or somewhere did sirloin. There’s nothing Joe will even eat at Pizza Express. It’s a little bit annoying. It’s not like I’m asking for a restaurant to serve both haggis and ostrich or something.
High-waisted shorts (or high-waisted anything) – Seem to be on their way out now, but they’re so extremely unflattering on everybody in the world…just like graduation gowns.
Play suits – Especially the ones with a garish design. Why make going to the bathroom so ridiculously difficult? I guess they save on laundry though…
eBook readers – I’ve blogged before about how I’m not a fan, and I still don’t “get” them. My phone does exactly the same thing and I don’t need something else to carry around. The only situation in which I can see them being useful is at the gym, when you wouldn’t want your phone to get lost or sweaty. But then again I’m not sure reading and working out at the same time is ideal anyway. Yes, the battery life is good, but there are some great phone chargers out there now that will keep your phone topped up without needing to be permanently plugged in. My phone does have quite a big screen though…trying to read a book on a Blackberry would probably make you want to kill yourself.
Facebook comments on blogs and news sites – I had to get something webby in here (I also dislike Disqus when I’m trying to get backlinks, but that’s another story). I’ve seen some big sites that now make you comment from your Facebook profile details (image, name, link to profile) if you’re leaving a comment. I hate that. I want to be able to leave my URL if I choose to, and I don’t want to encourage random people adding me or messaging me on Facebook. Apparently it’s good for cutting down on spam (or maybe cutting down on comments altogether). I just hope it doesn’t start spreading around smaller sites as it scares me sometimes how social media orientated everything is becoming.

Angry Birds — I’ve actually only played it once and it was when I was testing out a tablet at Best Buy; they had it featured on the home screen. I tried one level, got confused and gave up. Overall it’s like… what. So you throw a bunch of birds to pop these things and get points? In ways it reminds me of a game I played when I was younger called Worms. You were a worm and blew up other worms on the field by throwing grenades. You had to stay in the spot where you were and couldn’t move. If you missed the grenade, you could possibly kill yourself and lose the game.
Justin Bieber — Yeah… In ways I pity the poor kid. It’s not just women under 20; even MOMS are addicted to the kid too. I do admit some of his songs are catchy but he just doesn’t interest me at all.
eBook readers — I was interested in getting the Kindle for awhile but changed my mind. I would like a decent sized screen to read books on the go but only FAIRLY large books where I wouldn’t want to carry them around (I ride the bus around everywhere so trips tend to be a bit boring). I have some books that can be carried around (under 300 pages or so) so they’re not a problem. In any case, I might only use it once or twice? In that sense, it really is a waste of money. Plus, how can you read a book while you’re exercising anyways? Especially on the treadmill. You’re bouncing all over the place.
Facebook comments on blogs and news sites — I hate those sites that won’t let you join unless you sync them up with your Facebook profile. What even? What if I don’t have a Facebook and really wanted to join your site? That’s not cool. Or what if I have one and I don’t want to sync up my account for personal reasons? Spam or not, they just need a better CAPTCHA system or something.

Haha about pizza and steak. I’ve never had that issue before, although you got me thinking… I don’t think we have any restaurants that serves both pizza and steak. Although I love both, so it doesn’t matter to me. Haha.
Haha, I read a whole eBook(a Nicholas Sparks book) on my phone(it’s not a Smartphone or anything, just a regular phone), and it worked out fine for me too. I don’t think I’d ever get an eBook reader either.
I don’t think I’ve seen the Facebook comments thing before though. Maybe I have, but it was on a site that I didn’t care about, so I didn’t pay attention to it. I wouldn’t like it one bit either, and I probably wouldn’t comment if a site had that.
