It’s pretty old school, but I haven’t done a Friday 5 in years, so I thought I’d answer this week’s.
1. What puts you in a creative mood?
Music. My taste in music is about as mainstream as you can get really, and I love cheesy pop music, so if I’m designing something, I usually put some Katy Perry or Kelly Clarkson or Rihanna or similar on. I’m sure there’s some scientific reason behind music and creativity to do with synapses or something, because it’s such a common way to get in the zone.
2. What puts you in a silly mood?
Most things – cartoons, fancy dress, silly music, other people. Spending time with silly people, like my parents!
3. What puts you in a contemplative mood?
Thinking about the future, I guess. I think ahead a lot about what I want to achieve and what I want to do, and sometimes it’s frustrating that I’m not moving forward as much as I’d like. On a less serious note, my websites, especially this one. Deciding how to change Blossom.nu has been on my mind quite a lot recently, and it’s a little bit frustrating.
4. What puts you in a competitive mood?
I’m pretty competitive, and I hate it when people are wrong and refuse to back down, but I’m nowhere near as argumentative as I used to be. These days I’m more likely to get competitive about something like winning at Mario Kart or Joe being competitive because that makes me even more determined. Quite a few of my friends are into running and various other sports, but I’ve never been that girl. Oh, except sometimes when I’m at the gym and there’s someone on a machine next to me. That can make me a bit competitive sometimes.
5. If you’d call yourself a talkative person, what puts you in a quiet mood? If you’d call yourself a quiet person, what puts you in a talkative mood?
This is actually quite tricky because some people see me as very loud and talkative and others see me as quiet. Things that make me quiet – lots of people I don’t know in one place, when someone says something that’s such a complete lie it makes me speechless, food, any TV show/film I like, being tired. Things which make me talkative – anything that’s pissed me off, not seeing a friend for ages, talking on the phone, a new idea I’ve had, being hyper.
Hmm…these questions were actually more difficult to answer than I thought!

Haha, when I can’t think of anything to blog about, I browse through Friday5, but lately, I either can’t answer the questions, or the answer’s too personal to post in public. :( Haha.
Well, hehe, I don’t have much to say in regards to your answers… Except the music one, that puts me in the zone too, like to focus on work, or whatever. Haha.
31/05/2011 at 3:18 pmi’ve never heard of the Friday5 website – thanks for posting this ;) – a good source for post inspiration in case of a writer’s block indeed :D!
31/05/2011 at 9:58 pmThis is crazy! All of your answers pretty much describe me exactly. Great minds think alike, right? (:
01/06/2011 at 12:55 amI see Friday Five’s so often, but I always end up doing 30 day challenges and I don’t want to do both in one post so I’ve never gotten around to doing one :( Your answers are pretty close to what mind would be though, haha.
02/06/2011 at 1:34 pmHuh- I haven’t even heard of the “Friday 5” before but it seems kinda fun and interesting. I think I’m gonna try it out sometime. (:
07/06/2011 at 6:15 amI agree with the competitive answer regarding video games. I think that is the only time I get competitive. Also with card games. I hate to lose those.
08/06/2011 at 1:23 pmI had forgotten all about Friday 5, had thought it’d shut down! They’re great for some quick blog post inspiration. I love listening to cheesy music while I work as well, maybe there’s something secretly programmed into it that makes you extra productive.
