I woke up this morning with the hyperproductive phase still going strong. So here’s a photo post of a typical non-depressed day for me. All pics were taken with my camera phone, so they’re a bit blurry here and there.
This is what 7am looked like. A two-part Your Shape yoga session (I selected ‘Stress-relieving’ and ‘Fighting’ as my programme options for the week, thinking that I would get a kickboxing routine, but nope, I got yoga). I was still in the mood for punching things aggressively after I’d finished (that’s what yoga does for ya), so I followed it up with a short kickboxing routine and then a brief tree pose activity.

Time to start on the washing up. I hadn’t bothered for a few days, and we also baked with/had various friends bring us cake and brownies this week, so there was extra stuff too. I kind of want a dishwasher, but my kitchen is way too small.

Yay, all done:

I also washed and sorted the recycling, cleaned down the worktops and chucked out some old food from the fridge. So rock and roll.

By that time, I was beginning to run late. Four minutes to pick out clothes, get dressed, use mouthwash, brush hair, moisturise, put coat/scarf/shoes on and leave the house? No problem, I’ll do it in three.
My walk to work – lovely morning:

I’d planned on having fruit and porridge for breakfast, but I ended up doing some last minute prep for a meeting and remembered that I had this in my bag, so I ate that instead:

Lunch was also a massive fail, because I totally left my lunch on the living room table. So I ended up getting a sandwich (tuna mayo with salad) and a drink from the local sammich shop:

Bit of lunchtime Facebook and my ‘tidy’ desk, very productive:

I only had one screen on because the other is my ‘social media’ screen, and I’m not doing that at the moment in the interests of focusing on SEO. Not much else to say about work, really – had a meeting, did some koala-themed experimentation (no animals were harmed), wrote some notes for a project, uploaded a guest post, wrote a blog post…usual stuff really.
Late afternoon snack of popcorn:

After work it was time for Second Wednesday with Joe. Last time I was totally unprepared for some reason, and my phone died so I had no technology (panic). I borrowed a pen and paper to make plenty of insightful notes which I then promptly lost, so…yeah. Anyway, this time I had my phone charged, a proper notebook and my own pen, and I was organised. I love making notes before 2W starts as well, because it’s a great environment to just absorb and plan and half-listen to people’s conversations about Magento and things.

Oh, and also eat.
They really care about their food there, so that makes two of us. Especially when it involves roasted squash, lentil and chickpea stew with warm garlic pitta bread (and a few stolen chips from Joe’s plate. Ahem).

Free drinks totally don’t hurt either.

Then it was time for the talk…it was on responsive web design, and it absolutely flew by. I loved it – super inspirational and great speakers.

After that we chatted to a few people and then headed home. I packed for London, since I’m travelling down there tomorrow for a conference on Friday.

I rounded off the day with Dexter in bed:

And because everything must be on the internet:
