‘Where have you been?’
Good question.
I’ve been blogging, but not actually finishing any posts…
…even though I’m trying really hard to teach myself to finish a task before moving on to the next one (it’s working at work. Just not at home). Halfway through writing yet another post, I thought, ‘Hey, maybe I should write about how bad I am at finishing posts!’ and started another post about my bad blogging habits. Not even joking.
Then I remembered I really wanted to write about my trip to Turkey in 2013, and a post about using Lego in marketing, and a post about the UX of cupcakes, and then my brain exploded and I died a little inside.
So expect any or all of those posts sometime soon. I swear I’m going to give myself proper deadlines and then hit publish at that point, even if I’m halfway through a sentence.
I’ve been working on a new site…
A fiver for every time I’ve said that, and I might actually be able to finish one of them… This site is for a client, though, so it gets Top Priority. It’s a dance studio/party site, which isn’t something I’ve done before, but I’m excited about making something fun but not too cheesy.
I’ve (not) been working on my spring goals
But that’s the plan for this weekend.
I’ve been concentrating on eating better…
…or at least better than I was previously, which means more time spent prepping food, logging it, buying a vacuum sealer and a new smoothie maker, and taking photos. Obviously.
I’ve been playing computer games and watching TV…
…I’m not some kind of hyperproductive domestic goddess, even though I wish I were, so in the interests of talking about Real Life, I’ve been watching TV and playing computer games. What have I been watching? Dexter, Catfish, The Ice Cream Girls, all the good stuff. In terms of games, I just re-downloaded Plants vs Zombies (because my new phone has quadruple the space of the old one). I’ve also been playing little indie games because I bought a Nintendo Humble Bundle recently and totally didn’t realise they’d made a second Swords and Soldiers.
I’ve been planning holidays…
We’ve gone back and forth and million times over where to go on holiday this year. The shortlist: Kiev & Chernobyl, Budapest, Vegas, Fiji, Maldives, Riga, Berlin, Prague, Macedonia. In the end we decided on Kiev and Chernobyl (both in Ukraine) for June, and the Maldives in December. I’ve always wanted to go to an actual island paradise, and I’m turning thirty this year so it will take the edge off. Nothing is actually booked yet though, so that’s next on the list.
I’ve been not cleaning….
Because having a cleaner is amazing. I’ve had one at other times of my life, like my first year as a student and once in rented accommodation, but I’ve never actually hired one myself before. It’s amazing, because it frees up so much time for watching TV, playing computer games, and half-writing blog posts ;)
I’ve been tidying up old posts and organising my Flickr photos
It’s a long, tedious job, and it won’t be finished anytime soon, but I’m going to be so glad when it’s done!
I’ve been arranging flowers…
I added a new terrible habit to my very long list, which is having fresh flowers in the house at all times. They take quite a bit of care, but I love having them brighten up the place.
So, what’s new with you?

I used to have that same habbit, it’s insane! I’ve been getting better at it though by forcing myself to finish the blog post at a certain time! And just publishing it then tweeking after, but at least its out there xD

22/05/2016 at 3:34 pmI just finished Dexter last week for the first time. I loved it, but the last season and last episode were a bit meh. Thoughts?
Also – PvZ?! I love PvZ. Whenever I find someone who’s played it I love chatting to them about it. I have the first one on PC, tablet, phone and Xbox, and downloaded the second one, but I don’t like the emphasis it puts on microtransactions. I might have to clear my completed game off the Xbox again so I can start from scratch. Love it!
I don’t want to add to your list of half finished posts, but I’d love one on how you actually hire a cleaner. I was going to do that earlier this year, but I didn’t really know the protocol of how to go about it and as I’m supremely awkward I just kind of gave up and am doing the cleaning myself (ugh).
