Ok next post will be a complete pluggage post – so if you comment on this entry and you have a website, I’ll post your link in the entry. The only thing I ask in return is that you visit at least one other site on the list :)
This week has been pretty hectic which is why I’ve only just got round to blogging! On Monday I was blissfully sleeping when I got a call from work asking me if I could go in at 10:30 for a couple of hours. After groggily agreeing, I woke up fast when I realised the time was 9:50 and I had exactly 15 minutes. Needless to say I didn’t have time for a shower and to dry my hair. Ick. So I did a couple of hours at work, then picked up some sandwiches on the way back (the joys of having several pubs, fast food places, a sandwich shop and a cafe within about 5 minutes’ walk from the house). At home, I had about a bite of my sandwich left when the doorbell rang. My driving instructor. I’d completely forgotten I had a driving lesson, and thank God I’d got back from work in time or that would’ve been £20 down the drain. But I did see a squirrel get run over by the car opposite me - the squirrel kind of bounced in the air and lay twitching on the road :(Â
After I got back I felt I should carry on being productive, so I rushed around tidying, cleaning, washing etc. I really am living the life or a 40 year old. Paying bills, going to work where the average age is probably 35 and I’m by far the youngest at the moment, and doing housework. The only thing I don’t have is kids lol.
I can’t remember what happened on Tuesday and Wednesday – nothing memorable I don’t think, just stuff that kept me away from the computer. Yesterday was Andy’s AS results day, so I bought some cake, crisps, cohoclate and massive balloons and we had a mini party with Nika and Kieran to celebrate (he got AAB). I also worked 9 am – 5:30 pm yesterday, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I was testing a massive government program for pensions, and it was really depressing. Then later in the afternoon, I was working on a program for the travel company First Choice. The funny thing was that the woman who pretty much refused me a break the other times was begging me to take a break. And once I’m doing something on the computer that takes a while, I just completely forget people talking to me unless it’s related to the work. So she kept walking past telling me to take a break, have lunch etc. lol.
Today one of my uni friends, Laura, is coming over from Birmingham, and we were originally going to go to a funfair nearby (hopefully if it doesn’t start too late), but the weather is really bad so I’ll probably have to rethink that. The house also needs a quick tidy and I have to go and pick her up from the train station , so I will return comments tonight if I can’t before then. I noticed that the comment plugger has messed up again – I think it’s because it conflicted with an image uploading plugin I was using to insert the image in the last post – let’s hope so, because I don’t know how to fix it otherwise! :)

Hey Jenni,
18/08/2006 at 12:26 pmI hate it when you forget things and they all fly at you at once!!, I hope that you have a good day with your uni friend, and I hope she has a good day with you :). Thanks for being there for me to talk to this morning, really means alot jen xx
Love kate x
Lets hope its that simple =S. Haha, wow it seemed like you had a hard week. but you’re not the only one who’s tidied Up a little bit =) I’ve done some of my own here.
do driving instructors always drive to your household over there? cause here we have to drive there and provide our own car, and I remember watching a Movie called, “GetReal” where this girl had driving lessons like every week or so cause she sucked and they drove to the house. It was weird.
Anyways, I hope you get the Comment plugger fixed and your weekend be better then the beginning of your week was =)
18/08/2006 at 12:27 pmYou’ve been busy :) Yeah, I don’t know how my mum does all the cooking and cleaning and everything, thanks for the ‘hard work cleaning’ warning :)
Hope you have a good day with your friend, hope the weather holds dry. :)

18/08/2006 at 1:37 pmHehe, I know what you mean about having a hectic week! Yikes! Monday did sound hectic, though!! I’m glad that you did get home in time for your driving lesson! Wow, sorry to hear about the squirrel! Good thing you didn’t hit it!
Anyways, about the comment plugger… Have you been making pages on WP? Or something like that? That might be the reason why it hasn’t been “working”… I hope it’ll work soon, though!
18/08/2006 at 4:12 pmHey Jenni! Well I’m back from Crete… just thought I’d tell you… lol.
18/08/2006 at 8:28 pmYou really had a productive day on Monday. Go you! :)
Sounds like you’re having fun even though you’re working hard. :)
Wow, sounds like you have been busy, I know what you mean, I have the life of a 40 year old too in so many ways. I think living on your own makes you grow up alot and now that I’m living with my boyfriend its 1000 times more domesticated, its all bills, decortating, talking to both our sets of parents etc, still its all part of growing up! Well done to Andy too, he should be really pleased with himself those are really great results!
18/08/2006 at 11:28 pmCute layout. I was wondering what was up with StarGirl. =] Blossom is a cute name.

19/08/2006 at 4:09 amWow you have been busy as usual :) Luckily you did get home in time for your driving lesson. Sorry to hear about the squirrel must have been awful to see.
In reply to Matti I thought all teachers were meant to drive to the house as they have the proper learning plate.
In my opinion some 40 year olds don’t work as hard as you LOL. You deserve a long holiday. I don’t know how you manage but you’re truely inspirational.
Congratulations to Andy on his grades, he’s done great :)
Aww hope you had a fantastic time with you’re friend :D
